my name is kayla nolan - i’m a 27-year-old woman born and raised in sault ste. marie, ontario. these days, i’m soaking up life with my sweet one-year-old daughter (who is my absolute everything) and my fiancé, her incredible dad, who i can’t wait to marry. my days are full, my heart is fuller.

by trade, i’m a nurse. a path that’s taught me so much about empathy, presence, and the beauty of human connection. but at my core, i’ve always been a creative. my mom recently found old rolls of film from when i was little — the kind of photos only a kid with a disposable camera could take ... and it rings true that i’ve been seeing the world through a lens for as long as i can remember.

photography for me, isn’t just about images. it’s about truth. about feeling seen. it’s about catching the quiet glances, the messy laughs, the soft light hitting your cheek in just the right way — and freezing those moments in time. i want every person who stands in front of my camera to walk away feeling not just beautiful, but deeply recognized.

right now, i’m navigating a busy, love-filled life: working full-time from home, raising my daughter, and carving out space — in between nap times and deadlines — to build this dream of mine. one day, i hope to do this work full-time. for now, i pour everything i’ve got into every session, every client, every photo i take.
